HR Manager Benelux

THE POSITION

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager Benelux to join our team. In this role, you will not only manage a team of 7 HR professionals, but also be part of our Executive Committee. You are hands-on engaged in (leading) operational HR processes and at the same time involved in various global processes.

Your team consists of experienced HR Advisors and a Talent Acquisition Specialist who are responsible for 7 different (production) sites in the Netherlands and Belgium. Our head office in Montfoort is your base. You report to the HR Director France & BeNe. For daily operational coordination, you will work closely with our Managing Director Benelux.

This role is ideally full-time. You will spend a significant amount of time in Montfoort to stay informed about ongoing matters. Additionally, you will occasionally visit other locations as needed. While being on-site is important, working from home one to two days per week is certainly possible.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As HR Manager Benelux, you will:

  • Lead and motivate the HR Benelux team;

  • Represent HR interests and advise the management team and department managers on personnel matters and strategies that align with overarching business objectives and contribute to the growth and success of the organisation;

  • Strengthen, develop, and integrate our new Sales and Marketing organisation, acting as the first point of contact and sparring partner for the Sales and Marketing Director;

  • Guide and/or assist in implementing various HR projects, such as: enhancing collaboration with the HR Shared Service Center based in Lithuania, introducing a new time registration system for the Dutch sites, updating the personnel guide, harmonising various compensation and benefits (insurances, pensions)and any projects initiated by BMI Group;

  • Support the executives on matters related to the Works Council and/or labour unions;

  • Oversee the compensation policy in the Benelux, ensuring it aligns with BMI Group's objectives. This includes discussing bonus results with managers, performing calculations, and evaluating salary proposals and Collective Labor Agreements negotiations.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You are an experienced HR professional with a hands-on mentality and proven leadership qualities. You thrive in a dynamic (and corporate) work environment and have experience working in a matrix organisation. The ideal candidate is or has:

  • Bachelor degree in HRM or Business Administration;

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in leading and motivating a team of (experienced) HR professionals, with a focus on fostering collaboration, promoting development and achieving results;

  • A people-oriented HR manager committed to the well-being, development and engagement of our employees;

  • A strong personality who is confident in setting their own course while effectively building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, such as the Executive Committee, the Employee Relation partners, Line Management and stakeholder of BMI Group;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across different levels of the organisation;

  • Resilient to function effectively in a dynamic and sometimes demanding work environment;

  • Proficient in Dutch and English at a professional working level (this is a must);
